Finance Cluster

So today I am going to talk about the reflections  on three similarities and three differences in the finance cluster. Three of the similarities in the Finance career are:

• working with money
• Independence
• Calculating

The two careers I did were Tax prepares and Actuaries. They involve working with money, or enterprising. In these careers people need to be independent. This is because they don't always work with other people. They also need to be pros at calculating. They need to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. 

Some differences in this cluster are:

• Supports in Actuaries, or people that can help in Tax Prepares
• The wages are way off of each other
• The minimum education is also different

I have learned that careers in the same cluster can be very alike but very different. If you have a higher degree, you will almost always get paid more. They are always growing, faster and faster.....

Election Day Job Comparison

I recently researched to careers in Government and Administration. Here is short or brief comparison of my two careers.
My first career is Economists. My second careers is CEO. They both direct and coordinate things. They have mostly the same knowledge, skills, and abilities. They need to know math, English, critical thinking, instructing, fluency of ideas, time management, and sales and marketing. I can see where the sales and marketing comes in to play because Economists have to look at sales and production incline and decline. CEO's are in charge of paying and buying things for that business.
These careers require a Doctoral, Master's or Bachelor's degree. They have relatively the same work values, independence and achievement. They also have the same interests, as predicted as they are in the same Cluster.

Busy Week

This week we worked very diligently and productively. We researched a two Ag careers, Researched an opposite of our color, typed some answers to some questions, compared two careers, and typing this blog...(special effect)

I believe we did this to see how all of our colors reflect into different careers. We researched a career in the opposite color, and looked about the strengths and weaknesses of those colors. They really do show similarities.

Arts Careers

I researched two careers in arts, audio/video, technology, and Communications. Here we go.
I would like to read about the job descriptions, skills needed, and education requirements for each of the careers they chose to research.
My first career is a Broadcast Technician. The job description for this career is to setup, operate, and maintain the electronic equipment used to transmit radio and television programs. Control audio equipment. Some of the skills needed:

• computers and electronics
• telecommunications
• media
• administration and management
• mechanical
• critical thinking
• writing
• monitoring
• near vision
• deductive reasoning

Education Requirements:

• Master's-14%
• Some College, No Degree-57%
• High School or Equivalent-22%

My second career is a Locomotive Engineer. They drive electric, diesel-electric, steam, or gas turbine-electric locomotives to transport passengers or freight. Some of the skill needed:

• Transportation
• Public safety
• Security
• English Language
• Speaking
• Reaction Time
• Manual Dexterity

Education Required:

• High School Diploma-70%
• Some College-26%
• Less than a high school Diploma-3%

True Colors Results

Yesterday I took the true colors exam. I found out that I am a gold. My second color is orange. I am going to tell you what this means to me.
A gold person is someone who follows the rules and respects authority. They have a sense of right direction. I value home, family, and tradition.
To me this is exactly what I figured I'd be. I say this because I want to go into politicians and things. He likes set routines and organized. My second is orange. This is reflected in my gold color. Orange people are witty, charming, and spontaneous. This really reflects on myself. I am optimistic, eager, and courageous. I am also physical and immediate.

4 COLORS

The four colors of true colors are gold, orange, green, and blue. We use these colors to show the different types of personality. Being said, here are some examples. I think Mr. Boyars is a blue because he is always caring. He wants everyone to succeed. I think Salem Isaf is a green. I say this because he is a good student and a scholar. Joe Johnson and Gage Ragar are definitely orange. They are good students but like to do things their way. Mrs. Keys is definitely an blue. She always helping others. Mr. Nugent is probably an orange. He is a coach so therefore he values talent. Mr. Happ is definitely a green. He is a great teacher so he is a natural intelligence word bank. Griffin is an orange. He is witty and generous. I look up to him as someone who is spontaneous.

Business Management and Administration Response

"Students are earching the Business Management and Administration at the beginning of this week. I would like to read about the job descriptions, skills needed, and education requirements for each of the careers they chose to research. It should be some interesting stuff! - Mr. Rob Boyars

My first career in Business, Management, and Administration was computer Operators. They monitor and control electronic computer and peripheral. Some of the skills that they would need in this career would be monitoring, near vision, oral expression, critical thinking, active listening, telecommunications, customer and personal service, English language, and computers and electronics. The education required for this job is an associate's degree or some college. There were a few people in this job that only had a High school diploma but not enough to account for. 

My second career was a Biomass Power Plant Manager. They manage operations at biomass power generation facilities. They direct work activities at a plant, including supervision of operations of maintenance staff. Some of their skills could be production and processing, mechanical, administration and management, English language, mathematics, chemistry, speaking, oral comprehension, and near vision. Most of the employed people in this career have a Bachelor's Degree. 22% of the people in this career have an associate's, and surprisingly 11% only had a high school diploma or equivalent.
